Week 3 BOC: Sports Photography

I wanted to capture the moment at view that a bowler would see it and at an angle so that one can see the motion put into the sport. I used the lighting in the bowling alley to make the game pop out and the people look dark to make it look like it is the sport that they are focusing on. The blue bowling ball seemed perfect against the yellow floors because it popped out better. I wanted to get the bowling ball in action as the bowler is still watching but still in motion from his shot. It was taken at 11:15pm at the Sunset Station on February 3rd on a Thursday night. It was on off time for the bowling alley because on Fridays are Cosmic Bowling during the late night hours. There were many pink bowling balls (the lightest balls) available that night. Because on busy nights like Friday there are next to none pink balls around available. It was only about ten alleys that were filled with bowlers. Most of them were high school to junior high aged kids bowling their free time away. One girl did a little dance and made her friends laugh. There were a couple of families enjoying and spending family time together. They have a snack bar open for bowlers if they need something to snack on for example, chicken fingers, fries, hotdog, nachos, and beverages such as sodas and juices. If one ever gets too bored, they have music playing and some sports on television sets above them to watch while waiting to bowl. For the more gregarious type, there is a bar behind them for some favorite alcoholic drink. There is also a pool table in the bar area for those that want a different sport to play.
