BOC Week :7 Emulate Ron Gallela

I took a photo a person drinking her coffee and smiling having a nice day. I wanted to bring in a little of the palm tree so to emulate what a what Ron Gallela would do. I wanted to capture her in her most finest moment, herself in a perfect day. I used the light from the right to bring in angles and run the eyes to the person in the picture. I wanted it to be shadowy so that it appears mysterious and that her coat would be in focus and the person. The person seems to be relaxed and mainly focusing on relaxing for the day. She looks happy and ready to make the day a nice day. It is in focus so that she is in focus. She should grab your attention like she is being spotted on the moment that is right. She is not looking at the camera so that you are thinking what she’s thinking. She does not want you to notice her. She is just focusing on someone passing by and smiling as they pass by. She only notices the people around her and not hinting she wants attention from the camera person. The camera person wants to be in her thinking and capture what she is thinking by capturing what is in the situation. She is in her moment of peace and quiet and wants no distractions. The camera person take the photo even if she does notice so that it is a hint of interaction with the camera and the person in the photo. There has to be some chemistry or interaction to get her to be surreal in the moment. The coffee shop makes the whole genre look like it is an inviting place and where friends would stop by and say hi. She looks like she is waiting for someone to just come and say hi.
