BOC Week 1 About Me
The photo here was taken on a foggy night of the Las Vegas town and strip. The town is where I grew up and most of my life believed it to be a dull and bland town. But after seeing the city for what it was I grew to appreciate the beauty of it. I say it is the beauty that becomes more interesting. I grew up to be more open and look more interesting as I live my life. I took this on Friday night in December at 10:30 pm out on the east side of Boulder Highway up on the hill. On that hill is just a protected park just for horses mostly and for running, biking and walking. But this night was a very mysterious night because Las Vegas is known for its hot weather and dry climate and cloudless days. The area I was at only had cactus and desert plants and bushes. It is all flat and treeless. I am so appreciative because with trees, one would have a hard time seeing the town. Most nights it is glittering lights along the horizon on the city line. It is still pretty. I took this with a slow shutter speed and high ISO to capture the lights and the lights reflecting off the fog around and above the city. It took me about over 50 shots to get the perfect shot because it was windy enough to move me and cold enough to be in that shiver state. It has been foggy for the passed few days and this one was an opportunity I could not miss. The next night was barely any fog at all. I wanted the night sky above to be a gradual phase from the fog to make it look mysterious and wintery.
