BOC Week 11: A Photo of Nothing
The place has a home. I took a photo of the front doors of my home. I let the sunlight come in to show the shape, design and structure of the windows. The design on the windows are light so I let the contrast bring out those etches and the borders around the etches. The colors are kind of faint to show that the opacity makes from the windows. The windows show as slits to make it more hidden and want to make one look at the parts of the outside. I brought it at an angle and far so that the windows would show the soft opacity of the outside. With the etches, I brought out in one window to make it a variety of windows and the dimensions. I took it at an angle to show the dimensions of the texture you see just at a glance and know how the windows feel. It was taking in the morning so that I can get most of designs to show on the windows and the colors show faintly through them and it it more relaxed with no one around with the dimesions. The room inside the house I left dark because it is a house that is nice and hidden only revealed by those who come and visit and those who live there. The days are dreary at times and the nights are active at other times. I wanted to portray that the light coming in shows the window to the world and the inside is a hidden part of that world. I live in a place that is active with great caring family taking the house in its own care. We live in the nights and days we live out there.

EOC Week 10 Networking
I would join a non-profit organization like the Foto Chix of Las Vegas club to start networking and getting them to know my business. I would go to different events that the Foto Chix would do and do group shootings together. The come from all walks of life to be able to extend my network with their many networks they have built throughout their photography and other works they have done. I would be able to network with the models they have shot, the families and the friends they have shot. I would email the most photography business oriented person such as Erik Kabik to get to know him and his work and possibly be able to work for him if not intern for his business. He has a network of celebrities, music artists and architectural clientele and be able to network with that. I would be able to expand my work by learning from his work and his background. I would be able to add unto my background his skills. I would be able to network with Randy Becker to be able to use the education he has and network with school. I would use Becker to expand with his architecture, food and products to gain some customers. I would also expand my network with events such as WPPI, Bridal Expo and Pet events to do portraits, network with photographers and add customers to my network. I would like to expand my network with my owner/boss because he has his own financial corporation that would be a good add of customers. I would use the churches I have attended to expand my network and be doing portrait shots for them as well. I would expand my network with my family by doing family portraits as well as their friends for special occasions such as a baby shower, baby baptismal, weddings, and bridal showers.
BOC Week 9: The Eye
I highlighted the ends of the eye to make the color part of the iris come out. I used the sunlight as a light to bring in the reflection of the parts of the eye. I wanted to make the eye a focal point and make sure that it looks very clear and be point of focus of the photo. I used the reflections from the area to make me stand out in the eye. I wanted to make my figure look unduly unusual and be able to see in the eye. I wanted to make my shadow figure noticeable in the eye to make it more interesting and have a story behind it. I made sure the eye is saying something like she is reading what she is seeing and thinking something at the same time. I have it where the eye is seeing something that is pleasing and interesting and reading what the eyes is seeing just by looking at the photo. It is imperative to make focus my camera on the eye because that is the story of the photo. I wanted the pupil look somewhat constricted so that you can see the color of the eye somewhat. The reflections in the eye are an essential part because it hightlights the roundness of the eye and makes the eye stand out. It is the roundness that makes the eye an interesting shape and the iris makes is what make it a person. The iris identifies a part of a person. The pupil identifies who the person is inside. The highlights make the iris stand out and make the eye a person. I wanted the figure to look like she is focusing on something interesting. I made the figure look like a person with a different person and show that through the reflection of the eye.
EOC Week 10: 40 under 40
When I am 40, I would like to be in a photography studio business and be able to learn to start affiliates that help students be better photographers. I would like to start a studio that helps students do workshops that would help them grow as well as do their internship at my studio. I want to help students get ahead and use their workshops to make it in the real world. They would learn how to use the studio and the different lighting patterns to make their photos work. I would like to go travel to different countries and go to them with a heart to bring them back to my country with them in my photos and start a funding that would help those in need in those countries I have been. I would use the funding to help those small villages grow and be able to have a nice living area and clean and healthy lives to learn and grow. I want to also use fashion to fund the studios affliliates and help them grow. I would use the interns to make the fashion sprout and grow and be able to experience the fashion world with their photography. I would like to have my studio be a staff of at least six so that I have a smooth sailing business with those people in charge of the differenty departments in my business. It is my goal to help this business grow from the inside out and from the outside in making this a strong business. I want the business be a company with strong roots and branches. It is a business full of thriving individuals and goal oriented virtues to help make this the present happen and future unfold.. This is a business full of greater cause.
Week 9 BOC Food
I did a cup cake and two cookies as my food. I used just a dark background to enhance the highlighted parts of the dessert and plate. The cookie were situated in a way that it is angled and the highlights are at the rounded edges of the cookies. The cupcake was arranged in a way that it is the soft huge parts of it are bulging out of the photo. I used two lights and two window areas that are bringing in the sunlight. The sunlight is not directly in the windows so it is diffused by the rays of the sun hitting on the sides The two lights I used are the regular strobe and the other is an umbrella strobed light. They are both angled 90 degrees from each other to point at the accents of the dessert and plate. I used the brown table to make the cupcake stand out and the cookies to blend a little but highlighted the cookies to make them stand out from the table. The background I made it blur because I wanted the plate and dessert to stand out. The plate itself is highlighted to make the whole dessert to come together and make the three desserts portray their colors and highlights. I wanted to make the plate help the dessert pop out from the background and the table so that is remains a delicious food item. The green of the cupcake I highlighted to bring some natural color that would go well with the natural brown of the cookies. These two help make the dessert more comforting and warm because of the natural colors. I moved the plate on the part of the table that it is less highlighted to avoid extra patterns of light. It is imperative that I make the plate a part of the whole photo because it brings in all the elements together as a whole.

Week 8 EOC: Are celebrities Fair Game?
I think that most celebrities are fair game because they find ways to make their shots worth it. They use the profit from the shoots to give to their favorite charity. They go on the Red Carpet to promote the movies, the stylist, the designer, and of course their agent. They never go out unlessOther celebrities such as Sarah Palin does it to gain interests on her part and never uses it for causes. She would be best if she did her shots as nothing and still use it for a cause and that would be fair game. I think politicians use it for their own gain no matter what they are going for. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children spread was worth the hunk of money because it was for their kids and the money went to charity. Some others just use it for their own gain. There is a new way where celebrities show up to parties at clubs and lounges to get customers to come into the clubs and lounge. They use it for charities as well. They use other events such as politicians events and use that to promote their party and the delegate. The movie we with Audry Hepburn is a good example because she was just out on a limb to have fun rather than just for her own gain. She wanted to be a normal person doing whatever she wanted. The reporter used it to gain a spread and money. He was not fair game in the beginning but when it got closer to the end, he realized that it was fair not to do the spread. Her reputation would be ruined if he did the spread. She came down from the throne to show respect to all the reporters to make is a true fair game.
Photo Challenge Week 8: News Worthy
My shot contained a shear, a car, car tire, and an angry person. I used the flash to capture the action and drama with the sharp shears going for the tires. I used the flash to capture the expression on the person’s face. I angled the camera so that it looked real and not fake to make it like a portrait. It is something where the camera person just caught someone in trouble in the act. I used the shears to create the off the wall type prop that someone would usually have in their house to get an easy pop of someone’s tire. I went to a parking lot where the victim would less likely to be harmed by anyone with that intent. It is in a nice tree and bushy parking lot where mid high class people would work at. The person with the crime I made angry and scared at the same time so that it is a fight against the will and make it real so that it is not a usual suspect. It is the first crime this suspect has done and would do again after fighting against her will to do so. I used the sun as another source to bring out the surroundings and the props around it to make it an unusual time of day for a person to do such a crime. I wanted to use the sun to bring out the surroundings and the car and shears. The person is just a regular person taking out her anger on someone else. She wants to take revenge and use the shear to pop the car tire. Her face is dramatized to the point she wants to take it out on the victim. I used this car so that it is an unusual type of car that anyone would want to pop a tire on.
